Known for his attention to detail and ability to customize menus that delight every palate, Chef Gubitosi excels in catering for all occasions, from elegant weddings to corporate events and intimate dinners. Chef Robert Setzer, a proud 4th-generation Arizona native, draws deep inspiration from his family, whose gatherings and holidays always revolved around lovingly prepared, homemade meals. This tradition instilled in him a passion for home-cooked dishes and quality ingredients.

Robert's culinary journey began at just 15, washing dishes in a bustling kitchen. Though initially unfamiliar, the vibrant energy and the joy radiating from satisfied customers captivated him. "Nothing compares to this feeling of gratification and happiness," he reflects.

After high school, Robert moved to Downtown Phoenix to pursue his culinary calling. While working at "Il Posto," a cozy Italian restaurant, he earned an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of Phoenix, followed by a Bachelor's in Culinary Management.

Throughout his career, Robert has honed his skills in some of the Valley's most renowned kitchens, including roles as Sous Chef at Chelsea’s Kitchen, Executive Sous Chef at La Grande Orange and True Food Kitchen, Executive Chef at Arcadia Room, Chef de Cuisine at San Tan Brewing Co., and Executive Sous Chef at Federal Pizza.

Each kitchen has been a classroom, shaping his culinary philosophy: "Love the food and ingredients you put on the plate." This guiding principle continues to inspire Robert as he creates unforgettable dining experiences through Chef Phoenix.
